Anthony Pesec founded Illyria Capital in 2005 to service the needs of corporations looking for more sophisticated financing solutions for their businesses and to source opportunities and provide advice to investors interested in Croatia and the West Balkan region. Anthony holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a master’s degree in business administration and is fluent in both English and Croatian.
Prior to moving to Croatia from London in 2005 Anthony worked for Barclays Capital in structured finance and was a founding member of ECLIPSE, Barclays Capital’s commercial mortgage-backed securitisation (CMBS) programme, which became one of Europe’s leading commercial property lenders.
His financial knowledge, together with several years of experience in construction management on various projects, ranging from infrastructure to commercial and residential development, places Anthony in a good position to evaluate investment opportunities from both a financial and logistical perspective.
